I would like to send out heartfelt condolences to the Menke family and Quentin Tarantino in light of the passing of one of the world's great film editors, Sally Menke.

Sally Menke was one of the single most important forces responsible for helping launch the career of filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.  She  edited "Reservoir Dogs" into a dramatic display of suspense, violence and dialogue the likes of which has never been seen.  She and Quin collaborated on some of the most rare and innovative works of art, as she worked on each of the genius writer/director's flicks including "Pulp Fiction," "Kill Bill" and the Oscar nominaee for Best Picture "Inglourious Basterds."  This is a sore departure and the world will be much grieved at the loss of one of its finest and brightest.  Sally was an insightful genius.  Sally you will be missed.

Sally Menke had a history of seizures and is believed to have succumb to heat stroke while hiking during the record heat wave in southern California on September 28, 2010.  She was 56.
