As of today the five Oscar nominations for best picture include "No Country For Old Men" and "JUNO"!  Clearly "JUNO" is the next "Titanic", but when is it going to sink?  [For all hate-mail please feel free to email me @ huneke.runeworks@gmail.com]

A sleep deprived week ended in jubilation with one of the GREATEST FOOTBALL GAMES OF ALL TIME!  GO GIANTS!  [I am not betting on the Giants in the Super Bowl, because I want them to win.]  And how about that Eli Manning; I'm glad I wrote him off this year, last year, and the year before, because...wait a minute I didn't write him off and I am glad that the best QB in the playoffs has found that niche (that QBs talk about finding in their first few years -- when the switch is flipped and they're mentally attuned to the game, and the game itself seems to slow down [watch Peyton Manning, or his brother for clear examples]) and can now pave his way to the Hall of Fame leading the Giants (along with their dynamic defense) into a dynasty of their own.  Eli Manning a.k.a. Gunslinger in the Clutch.  I love being right!

Monday was the celebrated day for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. one of the greatest men to walk this earth.  He should be alive and well at a healthy 78 years old this month.   It hurts to realize that the figures that forever change the world for the better seem to be the ones that are too often hunted down.  Assassinated for fear of his power, this man had used his power to assemble millions in Washington D.C.  There he made history with words that spoke of Peace, Equality, and Dreams of a better world in his "I Have a Dream" speech. 
    On the night before he died, with death threats thick in the air, the brave Dr. King gave a speech in Detroit (6/23/1963) where he said, "If a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live."  If only he were still here shaping this world; he continues to, but if only he were still here.

I caught the flick "Cloverfield" last night and it was one of the most tense, edge of your seat, suspenseful thrillers I have seen in a long time.  My stomach clenched and my fear receptors electrified as I was moved throughout this one.  At one point I yelled out, caught in the picture and in the moment.  This was a great movie, def. a classic.

School starts on Thursday, Shakespeare beware. 

Words are being written and my pen never grows tired.
