Well I finally cracked the "Spotlight" of the Impulse Reviews in Newsday and am content to have been highlighted for being the only one to speak against the film "Juno".  It was not a bad movie, but one that didn't do anything for me and hopefully my opinion will enlighten some people who would not have enjoyed it.  It might also generate a deal of negative posts and blogs, as many people felt this was the greatest film since "Gone with the Wind" (see the reviews link on my web page's Publications section), and to these special people I will laugh and politely (and respectfully) tell them to piss off.

It feels like I have seen a ton of movies lately, and with my latest trips to the big screen here's four of my opinions "off the record" so to say:

"Aliens Vs. Predator Requiem" was a horrendous culmination of nauseating acting,  mixed in with some fun action fighting, despicable writing, and a story which was disgracefully inaccurate to the past "Aliens" and "Predator" series.  It might be worth a borrow (if you've watched every other movie ever made).

"I am Legend" was extremely well written and the acting was top notch.  It was worth seeing in the theater (and will be out of it).

"No Country for Old Men" was abso-freakin-lutley awesome!  It is a deep movie and was GREAT all across the board.  If you like to think (and are not afraid of gore) I'd say see it twice.

And then there's "Juno".  Well check out my review in Newsday for the official word, or the link to that article in my Publications section.  If you want a hint as to my detailed opinion reread the title of this blog today.
