The Author
R.J. Huneke was born in 1983 in a small town on the water called Port Jefferson, in New York. It was perhaps there that he began to have an affinity for living on an island and being surreally surrounded by water. Art in the form of drawing, reading, and writing began at the age of four and has yet to abate. He is currently attending Stony Brook University, for English, and he plans to go on to attain at least an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. With R.J.'s published pages, this web site was established in November of 2007 to display select writings, art, and RUNE WORKS productions.
R.J. Huneke is broadcast as bursting on the writing scene. The author continues to master his craft in the fiction, non-fiction, poetry, photography, and novel genres. The pen is only put down to raise either a pint of Guinness, or a cup of coffee (life's measured by coffee spoons). A former newspaper columnist for "Newsday," R.J. was first published for an Impulse Review article and he continues to draw words of creative non-fiction in his Impulsive Reviews and R.J.H. Blogs, where one can track down his daily happenings, or view his opinions on entertainment media, writing, sports, politics, and more. R.J. currently writes for the newspaper "The Stony Brook Statesman" (www.sbstatesman.com), writes as a Long Island Pop Culture Examiner (http://www.examiner.com/Long_Island) and scribes for the Apple Gazette (www.applegazette.com). He is also polishing his novel Ways, and in 2010 he has completed his book Homeland Security: the Drunken Fallacies of a Federal Agent.
R.J. Huneke is providing Impulsive Reviews for IME, as well as writing and Executive Editor duties. He is also in the process of partnering in the creative forum Impossible Minds Entertainment (IME). Impossible Minds serves as a proprietary development company for a small group of highly talented industry professionals. These professionals use IME as the platform to create and develop their own forms of entertainment media through a wide array of genres and platforms. IME will be releasing an innovative independent literary journal in the upcoming year and numerous other projects.
